Lead Novell Technical consultant to the California Highway Patrol for phase one of the XPand Windows 95 to Windows XP Upgrade project.
During this engagement I have had primary responsibility for all Novell components and the customization and deployment of CHP standard
applications including Office XP, Visio 2002, Project 2002 to all 1675 workstations in the headquarters and division offices throughout the state
involved in phase one. I have created ZENworks for Desktops 3.2 objects and configurations required to integrate and manage and maintain
Windows XP in the CHP’s Novell NetWare environment. I have developed training materials for both users and system administrators and have
delivered training to staff at CHP’s headquarters and division offices.
In addition, I have worked closely with CHP staff on server and eDirectory configuration for the upgrade to NetWare 6 and GroupWise 6 at all
headquarters and division offices. I have helped to developed a strategy and created ZENworks objects to support the deployment and
continued maintenance of Windows XP, Office XP, Visio 2002, Project 2002 on laptop computers providing a consistent user experience whether the laptop computer is connected to the CHP network or standalone.
